Active substance: Loratadine

Pharmacological effects: Loratadine belongs to a group of drugs calles H1-histamine receptor blockers. The drug inhibits release of histamine and leukotrienes C4 from must cells of the body. The drug prevents and relieves the development of an allergic reaction. The drug exerts anti-allergic, antipruritic and antiexudative effects. The drug does not cross the blood-brain barrier thus does not develop tolerance and somnolence.

Indications: The drug is indicated in the following conditions:

• Allergic rhinitis
• Conjunctivitis
• Pollinosis
• Chronic idiopathic hives
• Angioneurotic swelling
• Itching dermatosis
• Pseudoallergic reactions, caused by histamine release
• Allergic reactions caused by insect bytes

Warnings and Precautions: The drugs should not be used in the following conditions:

• Hypersensitivity to any components of the preparations.
• Lactation period

Should be used with caution:

• Renal failure
• Pregnancy
