Active substance: Cytisine

Pharmacological effects: Cytisine is and N-cholinomimetic. Cytisine is a naturally occurring alkaloid preparation extracted from Cytisus laburnum. It is similar to nicotine by the effects which it causes. The drug works by initiating the nicotine receptors, increasing arterial pressure and stimulating breathing.
