Active substance: Cyproheptadine

Pharmacological effects: Cyproheptadine is the active ingredient of Peritol. It blocks H1-histamine receptors and also possesses anticholinergic and sedative activity, stimulates appetite,blocks hyper-secretion of chondrotropic hormone in treatment of acromegaly and adrenocorticotrophic hormone in Cushing's syndrome. Anti-allergic effect is mostly expressed in regard to itching dermatosis.

Indications: Peritol may be prescribed to treat:
