Active substance: Aspartic acid, magnesium and potassium salt

Pharmacological effects: Asparcam is a combined preparation which is a source of K+ and Mg2+. The drug regulates metabolic processes, promotes restoration of electrolyte balance and exerts antiarrhythmic effects. Potassium is used be the nerve tissue to conduct impulses and during synaptic transmission and muscle contraction and support for normal heart function. The changes in potassium metabolism may lead to changes in excitability of nerves and muscles. Mg2+ in its place is a irreplaceable element which plays a big role in energy metabolism not to mention promotes many enzyme reactions. Aspartic acid in its place increases K+ and Mg2+ absorption in to the cell and stimulates intercellular synthesis of phosphates.
