Active substance: amlodipine besylate

Pharmacological effects: Norvasc contains the active ingredient amlodipine that belongs to a group of medicines called calcium channels blockers. By blocking calcium channels Norvasc prevents the entrance of calcium ions into the muscles cells of the heart tissue and blood vessels. Calcium ions are responsible for the activation of actin and mayosin fibers' contractility. By acting on calcium channels, Norvasc helps to relax blood vessels and reduces heart rate.

Indications: Norvasc is approved for the treatment of the following conditions:

• High blood pressure controlling
• Coronary artery disease(angina and congestive heart failure)

Warnings and Precautions: The drugs should not be used in the following conditions:

• Hypersensitivity to any components of the preparations.
• Liver and kidney diseases
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding
• Congestive heart failure

Norvasc should be used with caution in:
