Active Ingredients: Lornoxicam

Therapeutic actions: Lornoxicam belongs to a class of drugs called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents (NSAID's). the drug exerts anti-inflammatory, analgetic, anti-peretic and anti-aggregative effect. It suppresses inflammatory factors and decreases the aggregation of thrombocytes, interrupts the metabolism of arachidonic acid, lowers the productions of Pg. Suppresses exudation and proliferation.

Indications: Xefocam is indicated in such conditions as:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Rheumatoid spondylitis
  • Joint syndrome during podagra
  • Bursitis
  • Tendovaginitis
  • Pain syndrome of week and average intensity
  • Arthralgia
  • Mialgia
  • Neuralgia
  • Liumbago
  • Migraine
  • Ishialgia
  • Tooth ache
  • Headache
  • Algodismenorhea
  • Bruise and burn pain
  • Fever syndrome during common cola and infectious disease

Contraindications and cautions: The drug is contraindicated in the following conditions:

  • Hypersensitivity to any components of the preparation
  • Erosive disease of the gastro-intestinal tract in acute stage
  • Bronchial asthma
  • Chronic heart failure
  • Hypocoagulation
  • Hypovolemia
  • Sever renal or liver insufficiency
  • Cerebral hemorrhage
  • Pregnancy and lactation period
  • Age younger then 18 years old

Should be used with caution in:

  • Gastro-intestinal erosive disease
  • renal insufficiency
  • Conditions after surgery
  • If the patient is older then 65 years old
  • If the patients weight is less then 50 kg or 110 lbs

  • Gastro-intestinal tract: dyspepsia, stomach pain, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting heartburn, diarrhea, liver dysfunction

  • Skin swelling
  • Urogenital system: dysuria, decrease in glomerular filtration, nephritis, papillary necrosis, nephrotic syndrome, acute renal insufficiency
  • Sense organs: Ear ringing
  • Cardio-vascular system: Heart failure, tachycardia, hypertension
  • Haematopoietic system: agranulacytosis, leucopenia, anemia, thromocitopenia.
  • Allergic reactions
  • Local reactions: hyperemia
  • Other: increased sweating, bronchospasm.
  • In long-term treatment: haemorrhages, ulceration of the gastro-intestinal tract.
