Active substance: Sodium picosulfate

Pharmacological effects: Guttalax is a laxative preparation that works by lowering the absorption of electrolytes and water and enhances intestinal motion. Under the action of intestinal microorganisms, sodium picosulfate is hydrolyzed into its active form and stimulates the receptors of the intestinal wall. Laxative effect is observed in 10-12 hours after the medication intake.

Indications: Guttalax is approved in the following conditions:

• Atopic constipation
• Stool regulation(in hemorrhoids, proctitis, anal fissure)
• Preparation for the surgical interventions, instrumental or X-ray analysis

Warnings and Precautions: Guttalax should not be used in the following conditions:

• Hypersensitivity to any components of the preparations.
