Active substance: Capers (Capparis spinosa), Wild Chicory (Cichorium intybus), Black Nightshade (Solanum nigrum), Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna), Negro Coffee (Cassia occidentalis), Yarrow (Achillea millefolium), Tamarisk (Tamarix gallica)

Pharmacological effects: Liv-52 is a herbal based preparation with hepatoprotective, antitoxic, inflammatory, bile expelling, antioxidative. Hepatoprotective action of the medication is associated with antioxidative and membrane's stabilizing properties of its active ingredients. Liv-52 increases the amount of endogenic tocopherols in the liver cells, the level of cytochrome P450 is increased as well. Liv 52 stimulates the production of protenins and phospholipides. Liv-52 improves the function of the liver cells, lowers degenerative, fatty and fibrous changes. Liv-53 increases the ability of the hepatocytes to deposit glycogen.

Liv-52 improves colloidal properties of the bile, prevents the formation of the bile stones, regulates the amount of cholesterol and liver enzymes.

Indications: Liv-52 is approved to treat the following diseases:

• Liver cirrhosis in adults
• Acute and chronic infectious, toxic and drug-induced hepatitis
• Fatty hepatosis
• Anorexia
• Prophylaxis of toxic liver damage(caused by antibiotics, anti tuberculous preparations, NSAID's)

Warnings and Precautions: Liv-52 should not be used in the following conditions:

• Hypersensitivity to any components of the preparations.
• Pregnancy
• Breastfeeding

Liv-52 should be used with caution in severe digestive system disorders
