Pharmacological effects: Tamoxifen belongs to a group of drugs called anti-estrogens. Tamoxifen is a non-steroidal drug, which produces expressed. The effects of the drug are explained by its ability to inhibit the estrogen absorption in specific areas of the target organs. Tamoxifen inhibits the receptors of autogenous estrogens and thus slows the progression of the tumor, which is stimulated by estrogen.
