Drug name: Brand Cutivate

Active substance: Fluticasone

Pharmacological effects: Cutivate cream is a drug which exerts anti-inflammatory, antiallergic and antiitching effects. The drug works by decreasing the release and synthesis of inflammatory mediators and other biologically active substances like histamine, leukotrienes and cytokines.

Indications: Cutivate cream is indicated in treatment of:

  • Psoriasis
  • Exema
  • Prurigo simplex
  • Lichen acuminatus
  • Contact hypersensitivity reactions
  • Discoid lupus erythematosus
  • Generalized erythrodermia
  • Insect bites
  • Seborrheal dermatitis
  • Miliaria rubra

Warnings and Precautions: The drugs should not be used in the following conditions:

  • Hypersensitivity to any components of the preparations.
  • Pregnancy
  • Lactation period
  • Acne
  • Perioral dermatitis
  • Perianal and genital itching
  • Primary skin ifection of bacterial, viral and fungal origin
  • Infancy

The drug should be used with caution in:

  • Prior systemic use of other glucocorticosteroids
  • Adrenal gland dysfunction

Cutivate cream should not be applied to the eyes.
