Drug name: Brand Diprosalic

Active substance: betamethasone dipropionate and salicylic acid

Pharmacological effects: Diprosalic contains two active ingredients salicylic acid and  betamethasone dipropionate. Betamethasone belongs to a part of medications called corticosteroids. Bethamethasone works by reducing the production of inflammatory and allergic mediators and thus helps to reduce swelling, redness and itching. Salicylic acid belongs to a part of medications called keratolytic. Salicykic acid helps to break down excessive keratin in the skin cells in patients with eczema and psoriasis.

Indications: Diprosalic is indicated to reduce inflammatory manifestations of the keratolytic and dry corticosteroid sensitive dermatosis such as psoriasis, chronic atopic dermatitis, neurodermitis, impetigo,  dyshidrosis, seborrheic dermatitis of the hairy part of the head, ichthyosis, and other ichthyosiforms of dermatosis;

Warnings and Precautions: The drugs should not be used in the following conditions:

  • Hypersensitivity to any components of the preparations.
  • Children under 2 years of age
  • Acne
  • Acne rosacea
  • Viral skin infections
  • Skin sore associated with tuberculosis
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Talk with your doctor if you have skin infections caused by fungi, bacteria and viruses.

Avoid contact of the medication with eyes .
