Active substance: Free protein extract of calf blood

Pharmacological effects:

Solcoseryl contains a free protein extract of calf blood that possesses metabolic function in the tissue. Solcoseryl contains a mixture of biologically active substances like aminoacids, irreplaceable microelements, glycolipids, nucleotides, nucleosides.

Solcoseryl enhances reparative and regenerative processes, contributes to activation of aerobic metabolic processes and oxidative phosphorylation, increases oxygen consumption in vitro and stimulate the transport of glucose into the cells.

Indications:

Solcoseryl dental paste is used to treat:

• Wound-healthing application after dental extraction.
• Painful sensation in the mouth cavity
• Gingivitis
• Angular stomatitis
• Herpes simplex
• Periodontitis

Solcoseryl gel and ointment:

• Radiation dermatitis
• Trauma(wounds)
• Badly healing wounds
• Bed sores
• Chemical and thermal burns
• Freezings

Solcoseryl vials are used in:

• Chronic venous insufficiency manifested in trophic disorders.
• Occlusive peripheral vascular diseases in Fontaine stage 2 or 3

Warnings and Precautions: Solcoseryl should not be used in the following conditions:

• Hypersensitivity to any components of the preparation.
• Children and adolescents under 18 years of age(for vials)
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding(for vials)

 

Solcoseryl side effects: Drugs may cause side effects which in specific patients may manifest differently. In the following paragraph we want to underline the most serious and frequent side effect of Solcoseryl that  were identified by the drug manufacturers. The possibility of the adverse effect manifestation depends only on the individual and his specific traits.

• Solcoseryl side effects include: hives, itching, anaphylactic reactions, dermatitis.

• Solution for injections(Solcoseryl vials) should not be mixed with other preparation, except for isotonic solution of sodium chloride 0.9% and 5% solution of glucose.
• Solution for injections(Solcoseryl vials) is not incompatible with parenteral pharmaceutical forms of Ginkgo biloba, naftidrofuryl and bencyclane fumarate.
