Vein varicose

Varicose veins is a very common health problem that affects millions of men and women in the USA. Varicose veins is a health condition that is manifested in enlargement of the veins that are bulging and twisted and become dark, blue or  flesh-colored. The swollen veins are commonly occur inside the legs on the back side of the calves. The main cause of the disease is usually associated with weakening of the valves inside the veins. Usually the valves help to prevent blood pressure from flowing backside, however, when valves became weak, blood may flow back and collect inside the veins. In this situation venous insufficiency occur.

• Elderly age
• Hereditary factors
• Hormonal changes that are peculiar to menopause, pregnancy, puberty. Also the application of hormonal contraceptives that contain female sex hormones may also contribute to varicose veins.
• Pregnancy. Pregnant women have an increased amount of blood in the organism and this condition may lead to the veins enlargement.
• Increased body weight

Patients with varicose veins complain on the following symptoms: leg pain, swelling, irritation and itching in the legs, leg heaviness.
