Active substance: rutoside

Pharmacological effects:

Venoruton contains the active ingredient rutoside that exerts angioprotective action. Venoruton prevents the damage of the cells membrane caused by free radicals. Anti-oxidative effect is manifested in elimination of the oxidative properties of the oxygen, inhibiting lipid's peroxidation. Venoruton helps to protect vascular cells walls from the damage caused by hydroxyl radical. Cytoprotective action is manifested in inhibiting the activation pf neutrophils' adhesion and  red blood cell aggregation.
Venoruton increases venous-arterial reflux, decreases edema, pain, seizures, trophic disorders, varicose dermatitis and ulcers. 

Indications: Venoruton is approved to treat the following conditions:

For the internal use:

• edema and symptoms associated with chronic venous deficiency
• trophic disorders
• varicose dermatitis
• varicose ulcers
• hemorrhoids symptoms
• venous insufficiency and hemorrhoids in pregnant women

For the external use:

• pain and edema associated with chronic venous insufficiency
• onychalgia and feeling of weight in the legs
• pain and edemas of the traumatic genesis

Warnings and Precautions: The drugs should not be used in the following conditions:

• Hypersensitivity to any components of the preparations.
• Pregnancy (1 trimester)
• Breastfeeding
